Vanja Januzović is a senior accountant at KCM Financial Group with experience in accounting, financial reporting and the application of tax regulations.

Before joining KCM she gained experience in finance, while her professional development in accounting began at KCM itself. Over more than six years of work she progressed from entry-level accounting roles to senior accountant, gradually taking on more complex clients, team leadership and greater professional responsibility.

Working with complex clients

For the past four years Vanja has, as a senior accountant, managed and represented her own client portfolio, which includes some of KCM’s most demanding businesses.

Her role covers financial reporting, tax calculations and filings, reviewing the books, ongoing communication with clients and resolving more complex accounting and tax questions.

She has developed particular professional breadth through work with clients that require a high level of organisation, a strong understanding of business processes and precise application of accounting and tax regulations.

Specialisation

A distinct part of Vanja’s expertise is VAT, as well as the accounting and tax specifics of doing business in construction, hospitality and healthcare.

Direct work with clients from these sectors has enabled her to develop a practical understanding of their business models, tax risks and accounting challenges characteristic of each of these activities.

As an economics graduate, she has built on her formal education through professional development in accounting and by obtaining an auditor licence.

Developing people and sharing knowledge

An important part of Vanja’s role at KCM is also developing junior colleagues.

While working as a senior she has taken part in training numerous interns and junior accountants, guiding them through practical work with clients and gradually preparing them to take on accounting responsibilities independently.

In that way the experience and knowledge she herself built inside KCM are today passed on to new members of the accounting team.

Today Vanja manages and represents some of KCM’s most demanding clients and is responsible for the quality of their accounting and tax affairs, as well as for coordinating and developing the members of her team.

Her professional strength is especially visible in the combination of work with complex clients, knowledge of VAT, an understanding of the specifics of different industries and the ability to pass acquired knowledge on to junior colleagues.
