Jelena Nešković is a medior accountant at KCM Financial Group with prior experience gained in a bookkeeping agency and in-house accounting.
Over three years at KCM she has developed her expertise through direct work with clients, working in a team with a senior accountant and gradually taking on more complex accounting tasks and responsibilities.
Professional focus
A distinct part of Jelena’s expertise is recording business transactions, payroll, financial reporting and reviewing the books.
In her day-to-day work she takes part in preparing accounting and tax records, calculations, reconciling data and checking the accuracy of financial information.
Experience from a bookkeeping agency and in-house accounting allows her to look at accounting processes from different perspectives — both from the standpoint of an accounting service provider and from the standpoint of a company’s internal finance function.
Jelena completed a master’s degree in the Business Management module, Strategic Financial Management sub-module, thereby connecting practical accounting experience with knowledge of financial management, business analysis and decision-making.
Role at KCM
As a medior accountant, Jelena works in a team with a senior accountant and has an increasing level of independence in work with clients.
A particular focus of her further professional development is a deeper understanding of clients’ business processes, higher-quality financial reporting and developing an advisory approach, so that she can connect accounting data with the client’s concrete business needs and decisions.
In that way she is gradually developing the ability to give clients not only accurate accounting information, but also a clearer understanding of their financial position and business trends.
