Jelena Mračić is a long-standing member of KCM Financial Group and one of the key people in developing the company’s accounting standards.

She joined KCM with prior experience in accounting and continued her professional development through direct work with clients, managing her own portfolio and gradually taking on greater professional and organisational responsibility.

Over the years she has moved through different levels of the accounting profession — from day-to-day bookkeeping and client communication, through leading juniors and teams, to her current role as Head of Accounting.

From client work to quality control

As an accountant, Jelena managed her own client portfolio, including more complex businesses that require a high level of precision, organisation and responsibility.

She has taken part in preparing and reviewing a large number of financial statements, tax returns and tax audits, through which she developed substantial practical experience in financial reporting, tax records and reviewing the books.

Today she is one of the key people responsible for maintaining the quality of accounting processes at KCM, providing professional support to seniors and resolving more complex accounting and tax questions.

Developing people and teams

A distinct part of Jelena’s professional contribution is the development of employees.

Over the years she has trained numerous colleagues — from intern positions to independent accountants and seniors — passing on knowledge through practical work and concrete situations with clients.

She built on undergraduate studies in accounting and audit by obtaining a professional licence in audit.

Role at KCM today

As Head of Accounting, Jelena is focused primarily on quality control of accounting processes, professional support to teams, monitoring the application of regulations and developing internal working standards.

Her experience in working directly with clients, leading teams and training employees allows her to look at accounting quality from an operational, professional and organisational perspective at the same time.
